(Sorry the picture isn't great - it was taken on my cell phone while stopped at an intersection)
I was attending an ASCE meeting, and we got tour this new football stadium and enjoy some yummy food. Sometimes being an engineer pays off because you get to tour neat projects!
Now this next picture was taken in a field level suite, but it doesn't look much like a football field because it isn't. The workers were installing a soccer field for an upcoming game:

This is actually the walkway the players will run through to enter the field. The picture is a little blurry because I was walking at the same time - bad idea, especially when taking pictures with a cell phone. I left my camera at home. The players actually walk through the middle of the VIP club for the field suites so they will get to watch the players run out for each game:
I just almost can't believe this is place is a sports arena. Granted, they are holding many concerts here too, but it is just so shiny! This next picture is looking out the world's largest sliding glass doors located in the end zone. What a pretty plaza area outside:
Here is another view from up above down to the field. Sorry it is blurry again. You can see the giant structure hanging down in the middle, right? Well, that is the world's largest HD TV screen. It is huge (like 60' x 130' or some crazy huge size), and they it is really like a small 7-story building hanging there. It has two elevators that come down out of it to the field and take the technicians up into the structure. About 10 will stay up there during games to make sure everything runs properly. It is hanging 90' above the field - what a way to view the game!
Here is a view out of the highest level of suites. It was very plush and nice. It had a beautiful bar and private restroom, and the glass panels open up before the game so you can still feel like you are at the game:
Here is another view out of the box. You definitely can't miss the gigantic HD screen:
This is a shot down into one of the club areas I believe. We were looking down on it while going into the upper level suite. It is all just so chic for a football stadium:
This is actually the area we had our meeting. We got to sit in the plaza area of the end zone. It was a pretty amazing view there, too:

Wow! What a nice stadium!!!
Way to go on keeping up on the running everyday! Keep up the great work!
Running is SO hard! Great job...
What a "field trip" HA! {pun intended} That stadium is absolutely freaking amazing.
I have to say I'm a little disgusted about all the moneies they put into sports and yet our economy is "struggling" --
Clearly my opinion of how people spend money has ZERO to do with your job or what you were doing... it was just an observation --
So cool!
Good job with the running!
What an upgrade for Texas Stadium. Now if the team that plays there could only be as good as their cheerleaders.... :)
The stadium is so pretty! What a fun work outing!!!
I was in that stadium a couple of weeks ago and it is amazing!!!! My hubby was in awe the whole time!
